Stars win series 4-3
The Dallas Stars have advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs after defeating the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 in Game 7 of their first-round series on Friday night. The Stars won the game in overtime on a goal by Jason Robertson. It was Robertson's second goal of the game and his third of the series. The Avalanche had a chance to win the game in regulation, but they could not convert on a power play in the final minutes. The Stars will now face the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the playoffs. The Oilers defeated the Los Angeles Kings in four games in their first-round series. The Stars are making their first appearance in the second round of the playoffs since 2016. They have not won a playoff series since 2008.
